Having led the HR function for several life sciences companies in the Princeton area, Jeanne is now the Vice President, Human Resources for Edmund Optics with responsibility for global HR leadership, including the US, Europe and Asia.

Jeffrey Albert

Jeffrey B. Albert LifeTies Board Trustee Jeffrey B. Albert has been in real estate development for 40 years and is responsible for the development and construction of apartment homes, mixed-use buildings, land development and for- sale communities in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and New York. Mr. Albert was a partner at Trammell Crow Residential and a founding executive of its successor company, Avalon Properties, Inc., which became AvalonBay. In 1998 Mr. Albert formed Princewood Properties, his own firm. Mr. Albert has been a member of the Urban Land Institute and its Gold Flight Multifamily Housing Council and has served on local non-profit housing boards as well as state-sponsored committees. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Center in Princeton, holding many executive positions, and is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Mercer County working with children in the foster care system. Mr. Albert was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from Clark University with highest honors in Philosophy and he received a Master of City Planning Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He and his wife are a long time residents of Princeton, NJ where they raised their daughter.

Kristen Elder

Kristen brings over 20 years of financial management experience to the LifeTies Board of Trustees. Until recently, Kristen held the position of Senior Finance Director for GlaxoSmithKline where, over her career, she assumed finance and accounting roles focused in research & development, marketing, sales, HR, business analytics, compliance and IT systems development/integration. Prior to GSK, she was a Senior Auditor at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Kristen is now cultivating a similar career in the local, not-for-profit sector. Kristen holds a BS in Business Administration from Bucknell University and is a licensed CPA.

Maureen Kushmore

Maureen Kushmore is the Business Technology Lead for Janssen Pharmaceuticals, a division of Johnson & Johnson. As a commercial leader at Johnson & Johnson, Maureen spent the majority of her roughly 20 years in the field of HIV, in a variety of roles of commercial leadership including Marketing, Sales, Sales Management and Sales Training. Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson, Maureen worked in the fields of Advertising/Communications, Hospitality Marketing and High Tech. Maureen holds an MBA from Penn State University, Smeal College of Business with concentrations in Marketing, and Quantitative Business Analysis. She also holds a BA from Muhlenberg College in Allentown PA, and graduated from The George School in Newtown PA.

Bryan Baugh, MD

Bryan Baugh MD is the Global Medical Affairs Leader for Infectious Diseases & Vaccines at Janssen Pharmaceuticals Companies of Johnson & Johnson. Bryan’s primary responsibility is to support the research and development clinical affairs strategies for HIV and Vaccines. Prior to joining J&J, Bryan practiced in Washington DC and was the Director of HIV Services/Staff Physician at the Whitman Walker Clinic in Washington, DC. Bryan earned his BS in Chemistry from The Howard University, his medical degree from The Medical college of Ohio and trained in Internal Medicine at the Washington Hospital Center.

Dominique J. Carroll

Dominique Carroll is a dynamic trial and appellate litigator at the national law firm Fox Rothschild LLP. He represents individuals and companies in a diverse range of business litigation matters including intellectual property and commercial disputes of all varieties. Dominique has practiced in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. He advises clients regarding corporate governance, litigation strategy, and risk management. His experience includes prosecuting and defending claims involving breach of contract, shareholder and partnership disputes, insurance coverage disputes and landlord-tenant relations. He also provides strategic advice to corporations, partnerships, small business owners, directors and officers, property owners and individuals in all aspects of complex commercial litigation. Additionally, Dominique provides strategic counsel to clients in a variety of intellectual property matters, helping them protect and enforce their intellectual property rights. His broad range of intellectual property experience includes copyright, trademark, and patent litigation. Dominique earned his Juris Doctor degree (with honors) and MBA from the University of Illinois and his BA in English (with honors) from Rutgers University-Newark.

Richard Catenacci

Richard Catenacci has over 40 years of litigation experience in diverse areas of law, with a focus on federal trial practice. Rich is considered one of New Jersey’s foremost appellate advocates, having argued more than 200 appeals. With more than 100 jury and bench trials in the state and federal courts, he was among the first lawyers to be designated by the Supreme Court of New Jersey, Board of Trial Attorney Certification, as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney. For more than 30 years, Rich has been an active member and has held numerous leadership positions in the American Bar Association, having chaired five different committees of the Litigation Section. He also served in various leadership roles in the Federal Bar, New Jersey State Bar, and Essex County Bar Associations. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Notre Dame Law Association for almost 30 years.

Gerry Magrini

After graduating from Montclair University in 1979 with a BS in Business Administration, Gerry joined a number of computer software and hardware companies and held positions in management and sales. Throughout his career in the industry, most of his time was spent in New York and New Jersey where he and his wife raised their three children. In early 2005, Gerry acquired a small retail store in his home town of Montclair and left the technology field. During this period, he started a construction business outside of Philadelphia restoring and reselling homes which he continues to be involved with today. Gerry has been involved with his local Catholic Church parishes for many years, has served on the Board of Trustees for Job Haines -- an assisted living facility in Bloomfield, NJ, and was a CASA volunteer for in Mercer County for five years. He feels it is important to give back and provide meaningful help to those in need.

Asa Paris

Dr. Asa Paris is a 30+ year Corrections Police Officer and a 20+ year Military Member. He has worked in all facets of the correctional structure and currently serves as the Deputy Administrator. As a proud and decorated member of the US Army New Jersey National Guard and Iraqi War Veteran, he currently serves as a Behavioral Health Officer, Career Counselor, and a Master Trainer of Suicide Prevention and Resilience Skill Awareness and Enhancement. Asa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in areas of Trauma and Addiction. He currently works as a psychotherapist with military, first-responder, SUD, LGBTQI+, adolescent, adult, and family populations. Asa is an alumnus of Mercer County Community College, Thomas Edison State, Fordham, and Rutgers Universities.

Kristen M. Gurdin

Kristen M. Gurdin is Assistant General Counsel and Chief Policy Council for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the nation’s largest health philanthropy. She is a frequent public speaker on legal matters relating to tax-exempt organizations. Gurdin previously advised charitable organizations of all sizes for large and mid-size law firms on both coasts and served as the director of legal affairs for a small liberal arts college. She holds a JD from Temple University, an MLitt from Trinity College, Dublin; and AB in Theater, Speech, and Dance from Brown University and was a Fulbright Scholar to the Republic of Ireland. She serves on the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee of Har Sinai Temple, Pennington.

Sherry Bachalis, CPA

Sherry Bachalis is an accounting and finance professional with over 16 years of experience leading teams in public and private accounting. She currently leads the Technical Accounting group at NRG Energy, Inc., advising the company on complex and nonroutine transactions. Prior to joining NRG, she worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP as a senior manager in the audit practice serving clients across the technology, pharmaceutical and private equity industry. She holds a CPA license and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Sherry earned her B.S. in Accounting from the Rutgers Business School and graduated with honors.
